Starting with the design brief, we prepare a concept design which includes outline proposals for the structure and the building services. The procurement method is considered in further detail and outline specifications and a preliminary cost plan are developed and agreed. At an appropriate point an application for detailed planning permission is drawn up and submitted.
We are experienced in dealing with planning applications and reserved matters. We also act as CDM Co-ordinators under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and as Party Wall Surveyors.
At a time to suit the programme, a more detailed design is developed with specifications and definition of elements, materials and components so that the various parts of the building can be co-ordinated. The experience gained from our forensic investigations informs our designs.
We liaise closely with the client and other members of the design team at every stage to match the design with the client's expressed aims and budget.
