Underground Station – London

Client: Transport for London

This project involved the design and construction of a new reinforced concrete underground station in London, which was required to provide support for a number of multi-storey oversite development buildings.  Significant changes to the oversite development buildings and station during the design process led to a potential dispute between Transport for London and the developer.

WJM&P were engaged by Transport for London to advise on the causes of the changes to the station structure and to give our views on where the responsibility lay for those changes.  Our investigation included analysis of the relevant contract documents, a detailed review of the relevant correspondence and design documents, and assessment of the appropriate division of responsibility between the parties.
