Matthew’s experience encompasses large civil engineering projects such as bridges, retaining structures and structures associated with water treatment and sewage works as well as smaller scale commercial and residential developments. He has a keen interest in the forensic investigation of building failures and defects and has advised on a wide range of matters covering design, materials and workmanship problems.
Matthew has prepared Expert opinions for use in legal or arbitration proceedings and reports or presentations for use in adjudications and mediations. In addition to a continuing interest in heavy civil engineering works, Matthew has also developed an expertise in building technology and particularly matters relating to serviceability, weathertightness and tolerances.
