    Airport – Middle East

    Client: Government

This project involved the construction of a new international airport terminal in the Middle East.  The Contractor submitted a number of claims with regards to delay and disruption, which were disputed by the Government.

WJM&P were engaged by solicitors acting for the Government to advise on the technical aspects of the dispute.  Our investigation included analysis of the large steel roofs, steel and concrete composite floors, and various other steel and concrete elements of the terminal buildings.  All aspects included an element of seismic design, and the analysis of the structure using finite element modelling.

The dispute is being decided in an Arbitration at which we are acting as the civil and structural engineering Expert Witness.
